Ich fand dies auf der http://forum.landrovernet.com Seite:
The IRD and rear diff can be tested pretty much as normal .. jack them up so they are free to move and examine them for free play. The rear diff is the same as any other LR, and the IRD is quite similar but with the input coming in one size. Best way to test the IRD I found is to remove the filler plug and rotate one front wheel - whilst looking down the filler hole at the gear which is exposed there. If it moves more than a few mm sideways as the wheel hits resistance then the shaft bearings are chewed and it's time to rebuild the IRD. If you catch this in time it's repairable.
The other part of the IRD is the output pinion, this can be removed by just dropping the front prop and undoing the bolts which then lets you pull the pinion straight out. When mine died the gear teeth on this had been chewed right off after the shaft bearings had died and allowed them to jump. Not nice.
Hat das schon einmal jemand ausprobiert, ich meine in den Einfüllstutzen zu schauen, um zu überprüfen, welches Spiel die Zahnräder haben?
